Whatsapp rolls out new features and accessibilities to make the user experience better and create a buzz with every news. Now, Whatsapp is again in the news as it is not accessible on a few android phones from 01 November 2021.

There is an official announcement from Whatsapp end, according to that if you have an older Android version and iOS version smartphone the WhatsApp will get back the support and your chat data will be not accessible from 01 November 2021.
Smartphones that are operated on 4.0.4 or older, iOS 9 and older will not get any support and access to WhatsApp from 01 November 2021.
From 01 November 2021, WhatsApp is only downloaded and supported on the following smartphone models:
Android OS version 4.1 and above
Jio Phones KaiOS 2.5.0 and newerKaiOS 2.5.0 and upgraded version
Apple or iOS phones operated on iOS 10 and upgraded version
If you don’t know on which OS version the smartphone is operated then open the WhatsApp interface and go to settings, navigate to About You will get information about the upgraded OS version.
If you are using a phone that has an older version of Android or iOS please immediately take the backup of chat data/ contacts. iPhone5 and its previously launched models will lose the support of Whatsapp.
Backup WhatsApp Chats to access later
To take the chat backup you don’t have to do much just access a wifi internet connection to connect your phone.
Navigate to settings > Chats > Chat backup.
Here are the options available to export and chat backups for group chats and individual contacts.
You can select the formats of chats that you want to back up like media files and texts, including audio, video, images, document formats.
After taking the proper backup the data will be stored on your Google Drive, Gmail accounts, and other cloud platforms that will be accessible on your new phone once you reactivate the WhatsApp account on the upgraded version of the smartphone.
