Chinese technology giant has announced that they will launch the popular Mi LED televisions in India. After dominating the smartphone market for a long time, Xiaomi has decided to enter the television industry. The company has partnered with Dixon technologies which are Noida-based to locally manufacture the television at a facility in Tirupati. It was inaugurated by Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu. Naidu has a vision of making Tirupati an IT hub, as a one-stop destination for electronics players surrounding the entire life cycle of electronics. The Chief Minister is delighted to welcome Xiaomi and Dixon Technologies. The plant for manufacturing of television is 32-acre and it employs more than 850 people. The company says that by the first quarter of the year 2019, the factory will be able to produce 1,00,000 Mi LED televisions per month. For now, the new plant will start the assembly with Mi LED Smart TV 4A 80 cm which is 32 inch and Mi LED Smart TV 4A 180 cm which is 43 inch. The company announced the manufacturing of smartphones in the country in the year 2015. Presently, the technology giant has six manufacturing plants for smartphones in the country in Andhra Pradesh, Noida, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh. Also, the company’s power bank plant is in Noida. According to the company, 95% of smartphones in India are manufactured locally. The company announced Android Television integrated Mi LED televisions with voice assistance and also smart home Mi air purifier 2S and Mi home security camera 360 with a talkback feature, there were at a very affordable price, across the country. The Chinese technology giant also aims to open 100 Mi home stores in 2018 to reach out and supply products to Mi fans easily.
