Chinese smartphone company OnePlus and Oppo have both merged. Both the companies under BBK Electronics will share resources and teams among themselves. However, OnePlus will continue to operate independently.
The two big companies of the smartphone world have merged. China’s popular smartphone company OnePlus and Oppo have merged, after which OnePlus has now become a sub-brand of Oppo. Both these companies come under BBK Electronics. Both the companies have taken this decision to mobilize maximum resources.
Earlier R&D was merged
Recently, Oppo and OnePlus merged their research and development team. At the same time, taking it forward, both the companies are merging among themselves. OnePlus co-founders Pete Lau and Carl Pei have previously worked together in Oppo. OnePlus CEO Lau said that we merged many of our teams with Oppo to streamline our operations and capitalize on additional shared resources, which got us good response. Now after this we have decided to merge our organization with Oppo.
OnePlus will work independently
Even after this merger, OnePlus will continue to operate independently and the brand name will also continue. But both companies will share resources and teams with each other. Even before this, these companies have been working together. But now it will be officially.
