Facebook has joined in with the top retailers who are sending the social networking giant information on what the clients are purchasing in retail locations. Facebook, thus, is focusing on those clients with specified advertisements. Not simply online shopping, Facebook can follow what clients purchase in stores and focus on those clients with promotions, as indicated by a Business Insider report.

Retail organizations are sending Facebook “names, phone numbers and email addresses joined to what items individuals have bought, which are then used to target individuals with those organizations’ promotions.

The organization said this is a “standard” practice for the business. A few clients on different social networking platforms like Reddit have posted about the target ads by Facebook. Facebook a year ago revealed that the phone numbers that its users provide for security reasons for existing were being utilized to target them with advertisements.
