Samsung Galaxy M2 Specifications Unveiled Via Listing On Geekbatch

According to a recent report, tech giant Samsung is working on two of its new smartphones with model numbers SM-M205F and SM-M305F. These smartphones are anticipated to be a part of the new Galaxy M series smartphones by the South Korean company. The SM-M205F handset was seen on Geekbench to unveil its major specifications. The device may hit the market with the Galaxy M2 moniker. According to the Geekbench listing of SM-M205F which was first found by MySmartPrice, has revealed that the device is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 7885 chipset. It is the same 14nm SoC which powers a few of other Samsung phones as well, namely Galaxy A7, Galaxy A8 and Galaxy A8 Plus, all three of them were launched this year.

Additionally, the listing also unveils that the SoC will be combined with 3GB of RAM. The smartphones will be running Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. In the benchmarking test of Geekbench, the SM-M205F device scores 1,319. Whereas, In the multi-core test, the smartphone scores 4,074.
Also, there are rumours that the new Galaxy M series might replace the company’s other mid-range lineups like Galaxy C, Galaxy J, and the Galaxy On. The M series devices are expected to sport the LCD displays in order to keep the costs low. The SM-M205F Galaxy M2 is presumed to come with 32GB and 64GB storage variants. These variants may also include 3GB and 4GB of RAM.

However, there is no more information regarding more features and the launch date of the devices. The company is expected to release these devices in Asia and a few European countries.
