The South Korean tech giant Samsung will be revealing its quad-camera smartphone in India just a few hours from now. The company is hosting an event in Gurgaon commencing at 12 pm where it will launch the new Galaxy A9, one of the highly anticipated devices in the country. The smartphone will be the company’s newest addition to A series devices which comes a few months after the Galaxy A7. The all-new Galaxy A9 was first unveiled in Malaysia last month as the world’s first phone with four rear cameras and the best part is? It is expected to launch in the mid-range premium segment. The company will be live streaming the event on Samsung’s official website.
The quad-camera setup at the rear includes an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, 24-megapixel main sensor, 5-megapixel depth sensor and 10-megapixel telephoto sensor. At the front, Galaxy A9 features a 24-megapixel sensor. The Samsung Galaxy A9 sports a 6.3-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display with 1080p×2220 pixels resolution. Additionally, it has Octa Core Snapdragon 660 SoC along with Adreno 512 GPU, up to 8GB of RAM and a 3800mAh battery with fast charging. Though the Samsung Galaxy A9 price in India has not been confirmed yet, however, the new device is presumed to come with a starting price tag of Rs. 39,000. Samsung Galaxy A9 might join the recently launched Galaxy A7 which sports a triple-camera setup along with a side fingerprint sensor.
