Since earlier this year, YouTube’s Autoplay on Home feature was only available to the premium users, but soon it will be available to all the users, whether on iOS platform or Android platform within a few weeks. With this feature, the videos are on autoplay on the home page without sound and with any captions switched on. Autoplay on Home will soon be coming to all the free app users on both the Android and iOS platforms. additionally, This feature can be disabled if the users want to, or they can only keep it on when using Wi-Fi.
In a detailed post tech giant, Google confirmed that Autoplay for Home will soon be coming to all Android and iOS YouTube app users in a few weeks. Additionally, the users have an option to switch off the feature when they are using the data on their mobile phones, which means that the users can switch on the feature only when they are using WiFi. in order to disable the feature the users will need to open to Settings > Autoplay > Autoplay on Home > and choose from Wi-Fi only/ Off/ Always On.
With this new Autoplay on the Home feature. the users will be able to preview videos and watch YouTube on-the-go without audio, and with captions on. Also, Google has provided creators with new options such as automatic captions, creator-uploaded captions, and crowd-sourced community captions. when scrolling the home screen, the users will be able to see the thumbnail for a shorter period, before autoplay starts automatically.
