Chinese smartphone maker, Vivo has revealed a variant of Vivo Y81 to the Indian market. The device is called the Vivo Y81i. the device was expected to launch for some time now. But, the company quietly revealed it in the offline market. The smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs 8,490. Notably, Vivo Y81i has already been available in Malaysia. The device is powered by MediaTek’s Helio A22 SoC which is similar to Xiaomi’s Redmi 6A and Redmi 6. The device has been revealed in one variant with 2GB RAM along with 16GB storage. In August, Vivo launched Y81 with 3GB RAM and it was priced at Rs 12,999. But the device got a price cut afterwards, it now comes with a price tag of Rs. 11,990 in India.
The device does not support a fingerprint sensor but it sports a face unlock feature via front camera. But Vivo Y81 had both of the features. The Y81i smartphone sports a 6.22-inch FullView display along with a resolution of 1520×720 pixels. It has a notch in front. It is powered by MediaTek Helio A22 processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage. For imaging purpose, the Vivo Y81i offers a single 13-megapixel rear camera along with a LED flash. For the front, there is a 5-megapixel selfie camera along with a support for AI face beauty mode which improves the skin tone and it can even the lighting conditions as well. The smartphone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo-based on FunTouch 4.0 skin. Vivo Y81i is backed by a 3,260mAh battery.
