Oppo’s Foldable Smartphone To Arrive At MWC Next Year

Chinese Phone maker, Oppo is working on its foldable smartphone and is set to unveil it at the MWC 2019 in February. Oppo has always been interested in developing a foldable smartphone but never mentioned any timelines before. Reportedly, the company is also working on a 5G-enabled device for the market in Europe for the first half of the year 2019, and also a smartphone with a hole for the front camera in the year 2020.

According to the report by Dutch blog Tweakers.net, Chuck Wang, Oppo product manager mentioned at the company’s head office in Shenzhen, China, that Oppo is thinking to bring about a foldable smartphone sooner. The report also states that the company might also announce this foldable smartphone at the MWC 2019 in February and the information on the release date, specifications, and the range have not yet been revealed. There have been many claims that Chuck Wang also mentioned the launch of the company’s 5G-capable smartphone in the first half of the year 2019. This smartphone might be part of the company’s premium Find series. furthermore, Wang also said that the smartphone with an all-screen design and a hole for the front camera is planned for the year 2020. There was a report from July this year which claimed that Xiaomi and Oppo are working with suppliers in China to get components for their foldable phones which include hinges and foldable displays.
